- crochet hook I used a 5mm
- Safety eyes
- Polyester fiberfill
- Yarn needle

- HDC – Half Double Crochet
- INC – Increase
- INV DEC – Invisible Decrease
- SL ST – Slip Stitch
- CH – Chain

Crochet Turtle Pattern
Fins (Make 4)
Using the body color:
Round 1: Work 8 HDC into a Magic Ring. Join with a slip stitch to the first stitch and chain 1.
Round 2: HDC Increase in every stitch around. (16)
Fold the circle in half.
- HDC twice through both layers in the first touching stitches.
- HDC the next 6 stitches through both layers.
- HDC twice in the final stitch.
Total: 10 stitches
Set aside and repeat until you have four fins.
Turtle Head
Using the body color:
Round 1: 8 SC in a Magic Ring.
Round 2: INC in each stitch around. (16)
Round 3: SC, INC repeat around. (24)
Rounds 4–5: SC around. (24)
Round 6: SC, INV DEC repeat around. (16)
Attach the safety eyes between Rounds 4 and 5, approximately 7 stitches apart.
Round 7: INV DEC around. (8)
Round 8: SC around. (8)
Fasten off, leaving a tail for attaching if needed.
Turtle Body
Begin with the shell color.
Round 1
8 SC in a Magic Ring.
Round 2
Increase in each stitch around. (16)
Round 3
SC, INC repeat around. (24)
Round 4
SC in next 2, INC repeat around. (32)
Rounds 5–7
SC around. (32)
Round 8
Working in the Front Loops Only, SC around. (32)
Switch to the body color.
Round 9
Working in the Back Loops of Round 7, crochet:
- SC in next 2
- Attach first fin over the next 2 stitches
- SC 7
- Attach second fin over next 2 stitches
- SC 1
- Attach the head using slip stitches across the next 4 stitches
- SC 1
- Attach third fin over next 2 stitches
- SC 7

- SC 14

Round 11
SC 2, INV DEC around. (24)
Begin stuffing the turtle.
Make sure the head and neck are firmly stuffed before continuing.
Round 12
SC, INV DEC around. (16)
Continue stuffing.
Round 13
Invisible decrease around. (8)
Fasten off and sew the opening closed.
Weave in all remaining ends.
